How to use Clinical Simulation

A step-by-step guide for first-time users. Every case is synthetic — no real patients, and no care direction for any real person.

  1. Choose a setting and level. Pick one of the four environments (hospital acute, urgent care clinic, home health, hospice) and a difficulty on the left. These shape the patient and the disease processes.
  2. Sign in to save. Sign in with Google to create simulations, resume saved cases, export them to PDF, and delete them. Saved cases stay on your account.
  3. Create a simulation. Press "Create simulation." The system builds a synthetic patient, analyzes the backstory, and presents the first decision point.
  4. Read the case panel. Each step shows the situation, vital signs with calculations (MAP, shock index), the differential, causal chains, and missing information — plus a patient status bar showing whether the patient is improving, stabilizing, or worsening.
  5. Select a pathway. There are no right or wrong answers. Each of the four choices is a plausible clinical direction with its own rationale and tradeoffs — pick the trajectory you would take.
  6. Advance time. After choosing, the system resolves only your selection, shows the patient's response and updated status, and presents the next decision point carrying everything forward.
  7. Review and export. Resume any saved case from the list; use the download icon to open a formatted page and choose "Save as PDF."
Pick an environment and difficulty, then create a simulation.
